I have this conversation more often than you’d think. It usually starts the same way.

I started out my career with the belief that if I excel at my work, if I put in the time and effort, my work would speak for itself. But since those early days, I’ve come to realise that this isn’t the case. Work can and has gone unnoticed. Some of my accomplishments have remained hidden. Sitting quietly in the corner, pumping out work, is simply not the way.
