SEASON 1: THE EPISODES

I was like a cork bobbing on the ocean. I was probably not as deliberate as I wanted to be. I was basically working somebody else’s plan and that was when I realised I needed to have a clear plan, a clear focus and know where I want to go.”

I came to realise that the marriage between games and learning was one that could yield incredible results.”

Ep 4 Sean Bellamy on how the people you work with can become your voice

“I didn’t intend to be in education. In fact, my mom told me, “Never be a teacher. Never go into education”. Well, I ended up doing it anyway.”

It started with ghost stories, a remote coastal village and tragedies and just not knowing.”

Ep 6 Kim Chua on energy, gumption and the learning journey

“Everything is so transactional these days, people are so focused on what they want but try to become an expert collaborator. Don’t feel like it’s always gotta be you driving the boat. Collaborate and leverage the skills and talents of others as they leverage yours.”

Nothing about my career journey is linear, nothing about it is planned. Throughout my life, it has been a journey to learn. However, the knowledge I seek, the training and mentors I seek, are all very deliberate. The flow, the opportunities and wonderful coaches who came my way has been a mix of planning and flow.”

Ep 8 Dr Ai Addyson-Zhang on her inside-out journey as an education disruptor

“I realised I had I jumped into a big project without really knowing the depth involved but this is where my journey started.”

Originally from China, I am a first generation  immigrant to the US. I had a very traditional educational upbringing there… lots of exams, pressure and … humiliation. That inspired me to see how other children learn.”
