Increase Your Business Visibility with LinkedIn Page Featured Media

Useful Feature to Help Your Business Stand Out

Written by Rowena Morais

As a business, one of the key marketing and communication challenges you will likely face is developing a content strategy and producing such content. This is one of 15 surprising digital marketing statistics for 2024, according to RGC Digital Marketing.

Increase visibility through engaging content

If you have a website and social media presence, consider the kind of content you can create to engage with your target audience, as well as new and existing customers. Then, find ways to showcase such content in various formats because you can’t simply publish and hope readers see your content.

You can enhance your reach and engagement by featuring top content on your Home tab.

Share your content frequently

You must also share your content on social media at regular intervals. There are several reasons why you should do this:

  • it increases your visibility on social media
  • it helps you reach a wider audience
  • frequent updates can encourage more interaction from your readers
  • it reinforces your brand identity
  • consistent content can attract potential customers
  • frequent posting can help provide you with more data on what content resonates, helping you refine your content strategy

Improve business visibility

Ideally, every business should have a presence on LinkedIn. To do so, your business should have a LinkedIn Page.

On LinkedIn, we have two kinds of profiles – the individual profile and the organisation profile. A LinkedIn page falls under the latter profile type.

Having a LinkedIn page allows you to distinguish the content you create for your business from that created as an individual.

Plus, a LinkedIn Page enables your business to respond directly to questions, interact with its audience, grow a community, and establish a unique online presence.

If your business already has a LinkedIn page, here’s one way you can improve your visibility. Enhance your reach and engagement by featuring top content on your Home tab.

How to feature top content on your page’s Home tab

An organisation’s LinkedIn page will typically allow for admins —  individuals who have the ability to control the page.

Any action taken on a page, such as uploading a post or viewing analytics, requires administrative control that allows such actions. If you are the organisation’s page administrator, head over to your LinkedIn page.

You can create several forms of content to post on your page including short posts with text, images or videos. You can also share website links.

Every LinkedIn page will have a dashboard —  a centralised area where you can manage your presence, monitor activities, and review your account’s analytics.

Your dashboard may suggest key actions to take. If you haven’t added any featured content previously, this may be one of the suggestions listed.

To add featured content, click on the link labelled “Feature top content” and select one of your published posts. This allows you to make an existing post a featured one. Alternatively, you can develop a new post and then select it to feature.

Once you do this, the selected post will be prominently featured on your business’s page below the About section. Including a visual or video is highly recommended as it can help your post stand out more.

Featuring top content is just one of the actions you can take as the administrator of the page. Other activities include posting content, managing other pages you choose to follow, listing jobs, and controlling anyone else who manages your LinkedIn page.

Through your business’s LinkedIn page, you can join relevant conversations, grow your audience, and engage with your community. This helps your organisation stay connected with its target audience and be part of larger conversations.

If you are running a business, you need to maintain a presence on social media. It can help you raise brand awareness, engage with customers, derive more leads and promote your business.

If you have a LinkedIn page, try out Featured Media. There’s no better time to start than now.
